As part of Autism Awareness Month in April, a special public town hall event will be held on April 23, 2017 from 12:30 to 4:15 p.m. as part of the Biomusic & Autism initiative led by McGill University’s Dr. Melissa Park and Dr. Stefanie Blain-Moraes from the School of Physical and Occupational Therapy and Dr. Tamar Tembeck from Media@McGill.

Katharina Niemeyer - visiting us in 2017 - is an Associate Professor of the French Press Institute and member of the Centre for Interdisciplinary Research and Analysis of the Media (CARISM)/ University Paris 2, Sorbonne Universities. She holds a Master's in European Media Culture (Bauhaus University Weimar and University of Lyon 2). Until July 2012, she worked as a lecturer and researcher at the University of Geneva, where she also obtained her PhD in media and communication studies in 2009. With the choreographer and dancer Emilie Camacho (Rabbitresearch), she has been working occasionally since 2005 on the relation of dance and research by contributing to projects such as 'Plan B - Vertigo' (one-day conference 'Le destin de Jean Baudrillard', 2013).
