Transnational Yearnings (UBC Press, 2010) examines the traffic of people, capital, objects, and cultural production joining the sites of Toronto and Jamaica. It looks at historical and contemporary connections between Canada and the Caribbean that have had transformative effects on both sites, e.g. tourism, transmigration, popular cultural exchanges, foreign investment.
