Dr. Greg Taylor, occasional M@M blogger and recent PhD recipient from McGill's Art History and Communication Studies program, was published in the Montreal Gazette this week, detailing over-the-air HD signals:
"A seemingly mundane technical adjustment this summer has great implications for the way Montrealers watch television. CBC/Radio-Canada announced on June 23 that it is updating its 50 year-old transmission antenna at the top of Mount Royal. This change brings with it questions about whether people should be required to subscribe to a cable or satellite provider to enjoy the full benefits of new television technology. At its core we are dealing with a question of equality of access to broadcast signals."
