Since 2013, Media@McGill has organized annual research exchanges between graduate students and faculty of the Department of Art History and Communication Studies (AHCS).

1. Media@McGill organized its first annual research exchange for PhD students and postdoctoral fellows on January 22, 2013. Twenty students and postodoctoral fellows from both sides of the Department of Art History and Communication Studies presented their current research projects to their professors and peers. The presentations were followed by discussions moderated by Media@McGill Director, Christine Ross.

2. Media@McGill organized its second annual research exchange for PhD students and postdoctoral fellows on January 29, 2014. Eight students and postodoctoral fellows from both sides of the Department of Art History and Communication Studies presented their current research projects to their professors and peers. The presentations were followed by discussions moderated by Media@McGill Director, Christine Ross.

3. Media@McGill held its third PhD and Postdoctoral Research Exchange in February 2015. Twenty graduate students and postdoctoral scholars specializing in media-related research from both sides of the Department of Art History and Communication Studies presented their current work to faculty members and peers. Presentations were followed by a discussion moderated by Media@McGill Interim Director Jonathan Sterne.

4. Media@McGill held its fourth Master and PhD Research Exchange in January 2016. Twelve graduate students and faculty specializing in media-related research from both sides of the Department of Art History and Communication Studies presented their current work to faculty members and peers. Presentations were followed by a discussion moderated by Media@McGill Director Christine Ross.
