This project (funded by SSHRC and the Law Commission of Canada) involved researchers from McGill, Queen’s, Concordia, the National Research Council of Canada, and the international campaign for Communication Rights in the Information Society. Reporting on the state of the art of Canadian citizens’ rights with respect to media, the Internet, access to information and communication technologies, copyright, and privacy, it has resulted in a forthcoming book entitled “Media Divides: Communication Rights and the Right to Communicate in Canada” (UBC Press, 2010).
